You and your family and friends are invited to the Bhajan Evening and to enjoy the spiritual atmosphere of the evening and get blessings from the deities.

You are also welcome to sing bhajans in any Indian language and in honour of your Isht Devta.

If you want to play musical instruments (harmonium & dholak) and to make use of the PA system, they are available at the Mandir. You may if you wish can bring your own musical instruments.

Rooms available for meetings, social & cultural activities at the Ipswich Hindu Samaj Community Centre & Mandir

The EC & Trustees at their recent meeting held on 9th May 2011 agreed to let rooms for meetings, social & cultural activities at the following rates:

  • Prayer room for special pujas or celebrations £10 per hour; £25 per session  & £51 for upto 6 hours (A session to comprise of up to 3 hours)

  • Lounge for birthday parties etc at £10 per hour, £25 per session & £50 for up to 6 hours. rates inclusive of use of kichen facilities.

  • Gold Room £10 per hour and £25 per session.

  • Small rooms £7 per hour  & £15 per session.

  • Bhajan Evenings sponsorship from £31 per sponsorship.

  • Blessings on birthdays or at anniversaries £11 donations.

  • When hired for two sessions or up to six hours for parties. there will be an attendance charge of £5 per hour or £25 for upto 6 hours.

  • For hiring table for sale of food or sealed snacks £15 per table for up to one session and £25 for up to 6 hours on celebrations days.

No food will be consumed in the Prayer Room except for Parshad offered in hand. And also no food will be taken upstairs for consumption. Hirers for special events will help Mandir volunteers in cleaning the prayer room, lounge & kitchen.

If any hirer or user needs a Pujari/Priest from London or Midlands - their usual fees is £51 + mileage at 40p per mile. If coming by train, then train fare, plus other incidental charges eg taxi fare + fees + accomodation etc. Arrangements can be made or contact details can be provided.

Every 3rd Tuesday of the month Bhajan Evening will be held from 7.30pm to 9.30pm with Aarti at 9pm.
